ey y'all! I hope that you have had a wonderful week. I love this Gospel and being a missionary!
So this week has been a bit crazy. We were told on Tuesday after district council that our area would be getting closed down. It was heart breaking. I was super sad. I love it here on Texas Tech University especially working with the YSA and the lovely people that we have been working with! We also had exchanges that day which made it a little stressful because we still had to pack up our area.
Sometimes you plan super awesome days and the Lord has other plans for you. We ended up having a last minute lesson with a guy named Ian. We taught the Restoration with the elders, and it was the most powerful restoration I have ever taught. At the end he pray and asked God for an answer if these things were true. He got a different answer than we would have liked. It was such a testimony builder to me, because I knew in those moments that we do have a living prophet on the earth. Also that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It was amazing. Then the rest of the week was spent doing pass of lessons.
On Sunday we had Marcelo, Bri, and David all at church. It was so amazing. Our last Sunday there! They all loved it so much. David even had a stomach bug and still came. He is so GOLDEN! They all recognize that there is something different about this church! We also had a huge hail storm yesterday and had to do our first stake out under something so we didn't damage our car. It was a Texas experience.
Then we waited all night for our transfer calls. I Sister Browning am going to be moving really far away!! Haha! Just kidding. I am staying in Lubbock and moving like 10 min. down the road. I am going to be in a family ward. Sister Carter is moving to Hobbs, New Mexico. We also found out that Bri has decided to be baptized June 15th and we both get to attend. Then today we had our final lesson with David. We taught the plan of Salvation. Afterwards he was sad to realize that was the last time he was going to see us. He was so grateful that we were able to meet him and help him on this journey to come closer to God. God is so good y'all! Later today we get to go on tech with the new missionaries which will be so much fun!
I know that our Savior lives and I know that we The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored church. I am grateful to be a missionary and to serve my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Though I am sad to leave this area. I know that it is all in God's plan for me to leave! Have a wonderful week y'all!
