Cowboy Church!

Hey Y'all! I am alive and doing well here in West Texas! Life is so good and I love being a missionary! The past couple of weeks have been crazy, but the best! We have taken over a huge area which has kept us pretty busy. We go to Leveland every Saturday and it is about 30 min. away! We are teaching a girl out there named Reyna! Who is actually getting baptized on Saturday! We are so excited for her. She is so sweet and has a simple but powerful testimony of the Gospel! Her mom and dad were baptized about a month ago!

Then we teach a less active member named Noe! He is my best friend! He is so kind and will talk to us about the most random things ever! I love visiting with him and can't wait to help him grow his knowledge in the Gospel even more!

We also cover another area called Littlefield. It is about 45 min from Lubbock and we have a man we are teaching out there named Dennis! He is so kind and has a baptismal date of September 14th! He has a lot of knowledge of the Gospel and is ready for baptism. He even came to church for the first time ever this last Sunday and he loved it! Dennis is so fun!

We have been doing a lot of finding and it has been pretty dead because of summer. This past week I was a bit frustrated because we are being obedient and doing our part but we still had found no one. I prayed one night and told Heavenly Father that I couldn't do another week without finding anyone. The next day literally we had so many miracles and found 2 new people! One family told us that they weren't interested in our message, but they love missionaries and want to feed us! Then we met another lady right after who didn't remember meeting missionaries in the past, but was willing to let us come back and share a message. Lastly we met a man who was so nice to us. He apparently goes to cowboy church! Which I think basically is where you wear your cowboy hats to church and then have BBQ after! Only in Texas I love it! He even owns a flea market and said we could set up a booth so we are so excited about that! God is so good and really does answer prayers. I think had I not been frustrated I never would have seen finding these wonderful people such a huge blessing!

God is so good my friends! I hope everyone is doing well and that y'all know that God loves you and will hear and answer your prayers! I am grateful for this time to be a missionary and to serve my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ! What an honor to wear the Savior's name over my heart every single day! I hope y'all know how much I love you and I am so grateful for y'all! Have a blessed week!

🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Hey y'all! What another wonderful week here in Texas! I sure do love it here so so much!! This week was a week full of miracles and I can't wait to share them with you!

There has been a family in our area book we have been trying to get in contact with for a while, and we finally got in contact with them to set up an appointment to teach them! We are also meeting with a less active family. We are so excited to work with them. They are so sweet!

On Wednesday we did service for Mickey she is the sweetest and we love helping her! We had also lost contact with Jose and have been trying to get ahold of him so we decided to stop by. We knocked on his door he opened it right up and said hey I just texted y'all! Sure enough he did. He had gotten a new number and had been really busy but wants to meet! God is so good!

Then on Thursday, we got to go to a baby shower for a less active in our wards daughter. She is so sweet and is so excited to have her sweet little baby girls soon.

Then Saturday was my favorite day! For starters it was my 13 months mark! Wow time is flying. Then even better than that is.... NIKKO was finally baptized!! He entered into a covenant with God and I was so happy for him! He was so excited and kept saying I finally got baptized. He was so happy and now an official member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! He is a pretty awesome dude! Then we found out that a few areas in my district were being closed. Which was so sad and one of them we ward shared with. So that's means I cover that area which is a little stressful, but all will be well! It is Levelland and is about 30 minutes away. Pray they give us more miles haha!

Then later that night we were on a phone call. While we were on the phone we got a call but didn't answer. When we got off there was a message and we decided to call it back. When we did they answered and they apologized for calling and then proceeded to tell us their life story. We talked and shared the Gospel with them. Half way through the call we asked his name and it turns out he is in our area book and have been actually wanting to try by him. We set up an appointment to meet with him this next week! I will keep y'all updated!

Then Sunday was Sister Bergeson's last Sunday as a missionary. Brother Mortensen fed us breakfast! He is seriously the best! I am going to miss our Saturday breakfast! Then later that day we got transfer calls! I was a nervous wreck all day! Then the moment of truth! I am staying in Shadow Hills and finishing Sister Lambertis' training. I am so excited and I've heard nothing but good things about her! So this next transfer will be so good and I can't wait!! God is so good! This is the hardest thing I have done so far in my life, but it is so worth it! I love you all and I love this Gospel!
