God is Good!

Hey y'all! What an amazing past couple of weeks it has been!

Last weekend we had the amazing opportunity to attend the temple with the senior couple. We were so grateful to be bale to go and do two sessions. It was also super cool because a kid from our branch was going through the temple for the first time before he left on his mission.

This past week has been really busy with a lot of things going on. We had exchanges with the sister training leaders. I love exchanges and they were so much fun. I went with Sister Baxter who came out with me. It was so fun to be with her. She is an amazing missionary. We went contacting at the mall where we found out one of our mall friends moved away to Big Spring due to family issues. That was really sad to hear. We have become very close with the vendors at the mall and do our best to share the Gospel with them when we go contacting there. They are awesome people. We also went to institute that night and a member of our ward we are trying to work with came. We were so happy about that!

Also this week we had zone conference! One of my favorite things as a missionary. I love seeing President and Sister Hales. I also love learning how to become a better missionary. I always leave so pumped and excited to continue the work of the Lord.

On Saturday we went to a farmers market. Who knew those were a thing in January. It was fun being able to meet and talk to all the vendors there. The best part of the week other than zone Conference was Sunday. We had so many people at church. Lots who hadn't been there in so long. It was good to have them all there and it was such a good sacrament meeting so spiritually up lifting. As well as the opportunity to partake of the sacrament and renew our covenants and start our week fresh.

I love this Gospel with all of my heart. I know that without a shadow of a doubt our Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of you. He is aware of you and your needs.

I love you all. Thank you for all of the love and support.

I Love Texas!

Hey Y'all! I hope everyone is doing well! This past week has been so awesome. We were able to have a lesson with a less active this week. He has been struggling and our purpose of this lesson was for him to open up to us. We learned a lot about this kid. He is so awesome and just needs a little extra help. We are excited to continue working with him.

We also were able to work with a girl who was visiting her family for the weekend, so the Lubbock Sisters asked us to meet with her. She was so cute and happy. I wish I was as happy and energetic as she is. We were able to tell her a little bit of our purpose and why we are here in Midland Texas.

We also got to meet with Kyle!!!! I taught Kyle in Carlsbad, but he works here in Midland. He is one of my favorite people. We got to talk with him and see how is is doing and liking the scriptures.

Also, we have a new person that we are teaching. We are so so excited. She is such a sweet girl. She is prepared and ready to have the Gospel in her life. She says everything just makes sense. Her family is not too key in her taking lessons, so that's a bit of a challenge. It will all work out though.

I am beyond grateful to be here in Midland Texas and to help others come unto Christ. It has been such a blessing in my life.
I love you all and hope you week is awesome! :)

God is Good!

Hey y'all! Another great week in Texas is down in the books. This week has been so awesome.

On Monday we went to dinner with some kids in our branch for new years eve. It was Sister Goodmansens last dinner. We always have so much fun being with our branch members.
On Tuesday I said goodbye to Sister Goodmansen. She has accomplished her mission. Then I went on exchanges all day with Sister Hopkins. We did a lot of service that day. Then later that night I met my new companion Sister McInelly (pronounced MacInelly) . She is so sweet and is ready to work hard. We went to Whataburger. It was really good. Then we went to straight to a lesson with a less active member with our senior couple missionaries. I guess it had been really hard to get ahold and meet up with this kid. The Andersons have been praying ever since they met him a year ago that they could meet with him again. We were able to. It was such a spirit filled lesson. We were able to talk about faith and having faith in Jesus Christ. Then we had the opportunity to share the love that our Heavenly Father has for him.
As we meet with people and talk to them you get a strong feeling of love and I know that feeling is how our Heavenly Father loves all of his children. It is so rewarding. That is one of my most favorite parts of being a missionary, is being able to see others the way our Heavenly Father sees them.

We did a lot of finding this week at parks and at the mall. We were able to find a couple of people and we have hopes that we will be able to meet with them soon.

On Sunday we as a mission fasted for missionary work and opportunities. It was super awesome to be apart of that and fasting truly does work. We had 2 new members move into our ward. One of them is recently coming back to church and wants to take the lessons over again. He is such an awesome kid and has such a strong desire to learn more of this Gospel. We also had a break the fast with the branch. There is always the best food ever there. This past week was so awesome and I look forward to this coming week.

The Lord has a plan for Midland YSA branch and I am excited to see it unfold. Being a missionary is one of the most rewarding experiences and I am grateful to be one. I love you all so much and hope you have a blessed week!
